HCL Infosystems, India’s premier information enabling company, received the highest ratings of Five Star in the recently released ‘Dataquest-IDC Best Employers Survey’. The only two other companies that received similar rating were TCS & Infosys. HCL Infosystems showed dramatic achievement on employee satisfaction and outscored others on all satisfaction parameters to receive the highest ratings (Five Star).
Mr. M.L. Taneja, Executive Vice President – HRD, HCL Infosystems Limited, said, “We are extremely delighted with this industry recognition. This is an indication and reaffirmation of our strong belief that Employee Satisfaction is the Line Manager’s responsibility and the Corporate HRD facilitates Line Managers in becoming HR Managers for their employees. Our efforts in the last 4 to 5 years in this direction have led to this recognition by the industry and people.”
As a part of the survey, the employers were judged on 65 different parameters of employee satisfaction. These parameters included training and growth opportunities, importance in the organisation, relationship with peers and seniors, loyalty, salary and annual increments. “Growth opportunities” emerged as the largest driver of satisfaction. Following closely are ”work-life balance” (flexibility at workplace), organisation culture and job content. The study was conducted among IT companies on collection of information from both the HR departments as well of employees of the participating companies. The compiled data yields the scores used for the final ranking.
Since 2001, every year this study has been conducted amongst IT companies and information is collected from both the HR departments as well of employees of the participating companies.
